Accreditation

Program Overview/Goal:

The conference will deliver focused, educational updates highlighting clinically relevant advances in the management of patients with CLD and GI disorders to attendees and will feature an interactive format designed to enhance the educational impact. Internationally renowned hepatologists and gastroenterologists will lead the development of educational content and will serve as program faculty. The faculty will review state of the art advances in CLD and GI disorders. The conference will deliver emerging science and incorporate expert opinions on best practices for the diagnosis and management of patients.

Target Audience: 

The conference will target healthcare professionals, including gastroenterologists, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.

 

Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe current guidelines for the diagnosis and management of CLD and GI disorders.

  • Employ an evidence-based approach to the management of CLD and GI disorders.

  • Identify new advances presented at 2024 DDW and assess their potential impact on clinical practice.

Accreditation Statement: 

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (Cincinnati) and Professional Alliance for Continuing Education (PACE), in collaboration with Michigan Gastrointestinal Society (MIGI). The University of Cincinnati is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

University of Cincinnati College of Medicine estimates the educational activity for a maximum of

8.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

MOC Designation:

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 8.75 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
